CHILDREN, parents and teachers in Rotherham are getting on their bikes to promote safe cycling.
Charity Sustrans, which campaigns for bike riding routes in the UK, has enlisted the help of seven schools to take part in its Big Pedal competition.
Activities youngsters will be taking on activities from pedal-powered smoothie bikes, to ‘Bling your Bike’ days and cycling training.
Bike health checks will also be offered to encourage children, staff and parents to cycle to school during the campaign, which runs between February 28 and March 20.
