Getting ready for switch-on

the chairman of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals, Chris Scholey, will be switching on the Christmas lights at Montagu Hospital, Mexborough, on Tuesday, December 4.

Children from St John the Baptist C of E Primary School will also be singing carols in the hospital’s dining room at 3pm before moving outside to switch on the Christmas tree lights at 3.30pm, just outside Gate 2 on Adwick Road, and everyone is welcome.

As a special thank you to mark the occasion Montagu Hospital’s Comforts Fund have donated a Christmas light for each of the school children taking part.

“It’s certainly a Christmas tradition at Montagu Hospital and marks the start of the festive season,” said Mr Scholey.
