Funds lift to keep Yorkshire air ambulance flying high

Yorkshire Air Ambulance has received nearly £145,000 from Yorkshire Building Society.

The life-savers will put the donation towards the £3.6m a year cost of keeping their service in the air.

Bev Cox of Yorkshire Building Society said: “We are delighted to be able to help such a vital service, which is close to the hearts of so many customers.”

Yorkshire Air Ambulance spokeswoman Katie Collinson added: “This donation is amazing and will keep us flying for just over two weeks.”
