Dogs undergoing training to help disabled people at a Sheffield charity are padding around in luxury after a company stepped in to pay for fresh flooring worth £6,000.

Support Dogs, based in Brightside, was struggling to pay for replacement carpets in its training room and main corridor until the Karndean Design flooring team offered to do the work for free through its ‘40 Free Floors for 40 Good Causes’ campaign.

Rita Howson, Support Dogs’ chief executive, pictured above with colleague Joanne Ellam and Kate Drew from Karndean, said: “It’s completely transformed our space.”
