BOSSES at a Doncaster hospital are using the soft furnishings to get their health messages across.

Patients, visitors and staff at Tickhill Road Hospital are being given an extra reminder of the importance of good hand hygiene in the prevention of healthcare-associated infection - because the hospital has brought in curtains with the message printed all over them.

Matron Claire Fletcher said: “I saw similar curtains at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and thought this was an excellent example of good practice in infection control and privacy and dignity, which are imperative elements in maintaining good nursing care.”
