More than £1,300 was raised for cancer patients when a special bus stopped in Sheffield to serve up tea and cake.

The ‘brew bus’ pulled up in Barker’s Pool as part of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity’s Time for Tea campaign.

In total, the event raised just over £1,324 for the good cause. Prizes were also given away including gig tickets, a hamper of Haribo sweets and six months’ free bus travel.

Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire which is sponsoring the campaign and supplied the bus, said the event was a ‘great success’.
