Barnsley Council has commended staff in three of its adult social care provider services following excellent results in recent inspections.
The Care Quality Commission, an independent government body that regulates and inspects social care, visited the council’s Home Care Assessment and Reablement Team, and two learning disability services, Shared Lives and Supported Living, last month.
The inspectors examined how the council was meeting people’s needs across a range of areas of compliance.
All three services were found to meet the required standards and the service users and relatives that were interviewed all reported they were happy with their care and found the staff that supported them helpful and friendly.
