A CHILDREN’S therapy centre in Sheffield revamped by volunteers is to be reopened officially on Friday.
Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity is organising the event at the Ryegate Centre, Broomhill, which will be attended by youngsters treated there and their families.
Refurbishment was carried out last weekend by staff from Dransfield Properties.
There was a delay of a few days before the centre could be reopened so paint could fully dry out.
Work worth around £100,000 took place round the clock over a 48-hour period, with new floors, ceilings, lighting and signs installed by around 20 volunteers from the Barnsley-based company.
The centre is run by Sheffield Children’s Hospital and provides therapy for youngsters with disabilities.
