A ‘dirty dozen’ found themselves behind bars after they were arrested at the Regent Hotel in Doncaster and taken to prison in a police van, all in for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The 12 prisoners taking part in the jail and bail event each had to raise a minimum of £500 bail money before they could be released.

Debbie Bonewell and her fellow felons were allowed out of their cells to ring family and friends to beg for contributions towards their bail. “It was a great experience and really changed my perception of what life in prison is really like,” she said.
