Patients at Kiveton Park Medical Centre are being invited to an open day to find out more about physical activities on offer in their community.
The event, next Wednesday, July 17, has been organised one year on after the Olympics to inspire people to take up sport.
Stalls will be set up offering information on activities including Nordic walking, cardiac rehabilitation, table tennis, cycling and walking.
The event will double as the opening of the surgery’s new Physical Activity Suite. Visitors are invited to the medical centre on Chapel Way from 3pm. A London 2012 official and a paralympian will also be attending.
