A CHARITY chips challenge at a city casino netted £1,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.
Napoleons in Banner Cross hosted the event which was won by Pete Shillito from Steel Baker Recruitment who chose the Whirlow facility as the charity to receive his prize. Businessmen and women were given £50 worth of chips and had to multiply them in half an hour on the roulette table.
The player with the most chips at the end was crowned champion and Pete led the way with £394.
He said: “I’m delighted to have been able to make such a generous contribution to St. Luke’s Hospice. The work they do is so important, they deserve every penny.”
