High-profile NHS meeting

A LANDMARK event discussing the future of the local NHS is set to take place tomorrow in Chesterfield.

GPs from Hardwick Health, who are trialling NHS reforms on behalf of 103,000 patients in Bolsover and North Derbyshire prior to the national 2013 deadline, will lead the high level talks.

The group of GPs was the first in the county to be awarded ‘pathfinder’ status by the Department of Health – an official recognition of their proven track record in developing services that meet the needs of patients in the area.

Now the organisation is set to consult with leading local health figures over their plans, with senior representatives from North East Derbyshire District Council, Bolsover District Council, NHS Derbyshire, and Derbyshire Community Health Services among the guests attending.
