Help to get more mobile

Have your say

Young wheelchair users from Doncaster and surrounding areas received practical sessions in getting mobile with the help of Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust and Whizz-Kidz.

The Whizz-Kidz charity, which provides children and young people with powered and manual mobility equipment, ran its wheelchair skills programme as a free service in a fun environment to young people exploring their mobility for the first time, and to those wishing to improve their skills. The programme is run in conjunction with RDaSH wheelchair services.

Nila Panchal, RDaSH wheelchair services manager, said: “It is encouraging to see the children developing and building on their wheelchair handling skills with increasing confidence.”
