A NEW health centre in Sheffield opened its doors for residents to find out what facilities will be available.
The centre on Park Grange Road, Norfolk Park, has been under construction for the last 12 months and was opened by Coun Julie Dore, Sheffield Council leader.
Dr Tim Moorhead, NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group chairman, said: “I’m pleased to have invited people along to this event and must take the time to thank everybody who has been involved in the process.
“It’s so exciting to be able to offer this state-of-the-art facility to people.
“This building will combine a range of medical services, including GPs and nurses, minor surgery and a pharmacy, whilst also providing a hub for the local community.
The centre is part of a plan to develop four new health centres in the city by 2013.
