A SHEFFIELD doctor has raised over £3,000 for research into rare childhood diseases after completing his biggest-ever bike ride for charity.

Dr Jez McCole took part in a gruelling 360-mile, four-day cycle ride from London to Paris in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.

The GP decided to swap his car for a bicycle five years ago, seeing it as a greener way to visit patients.
