Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking new governors to play a part in shaping the future of children’s healthcare.
Regular elections are held by the Trust for its Council of Governors and it is currently seeking nominations from people in Sheffield and Rotherham.
Once elected, governors play a key role by representing the views of the members of the public in their constituency and are able to have the views heard at the highest level of the Trust.
Governors also have the opportunity to find out more about how the Trust runs its services, quiz executives on the Trust’s performance and visit hospital departments.
Judith Green, Associate Director of Corporate Affairs, said: “Becoming a governor at the Trust is perfect for those looking for a new challenge and who want to make a difference to the healthcare of children in the region.
“Nominations from all members of the community are welcome and it is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and meet people from all walks of life.”
