A CHARITY supporting the blind and visually impaired is appealing for people to ‘get together’ and do something to raise funds as part of a national campaign.
The Get Together for Guide Dogs initiative is asking friends, family, colleagues or members of the community to join forces and organise a fundraising event in aid of its work.
Mel Linnell, from the charity’s fundraising development team in the north, said: “There’s no limit to what you can do.
“You could turn watching the football, tennis or latest reality TV programme into a fundraiser. We also do a go Walkies event, which is a sponsored walk for dogs and people.”
