Jobseekers of Sheffield – the countdown to one of the city’s biggest career fairs is almost over.
The Star and website Jobstoday are adding the finishing touches to preparations for the Get Hired event this Thursday.
The city centre’s Hub in Paternoster Row will open its doors at 11am for a day dedicated to getting people back into work.
Organisers have issued a reminder to unemployed people to ensure they attend and snap up the wealth of opportunities on offer.
A number of businesses have booked exhibition stands, meaning jobseekers will be get the chance to have one-to-one chats with employers and find out more about vacancies.
Joanne Harwood, group category manager at Johnston Press, which runs The Star and Jobstoday, said: “A job fair is a great opportunity for businesses to fill their vacancies with the candidates they are looking for.
“By meeting face-to-face with jobhunters in a relaxed and informal setting, they can get a much better understanding of their skills and experience.”
