A Sheffield telemarketing firm is investing £100,000 worth of its time to boost the number of people who support the city’s St Luke’s Hospice.
Ant Marketing will be encouraging residents to make a regular donation to the hospice, on Little Common Lane in Whirlow.
Una Moran, the charity’s director of fundraising and communications, said: “With the support of Ant Marketing, we will be able to spread the message about what we do to even more people.
“Attracting new supporters is vital to everything we do at St Luke’s because we need to raise at least £4.5 million every year just to continue providing our current levels of service and we are, of course, still working on raising the £5 million we need to complete the building of our new state-of-the-art inpatient unit.”
Anthony Hinchliffe, chief executive of the marketing business and a patron of St Luke’s, added: “As a company we have a strong sense of our place in the wider community and are always looking for ways to give something back to the city. St Luke’s is an organisation that touches the lives of so many people.”
