A dad from Sheffield who survived a horrific crash on holiday in which two people died has made a miraculous recovery after waking from a coma - and his remarkable tale is revealed exclusively in The Star tomorrow.

Michael Horne, aged 54, was on a jeep safari in Turkey when his vehicle crashed into a telegraph pole, causing him to suffer a devastating brain injury.

He was brought back to his home city, where his life hung in the balance in intensive care.

But Michael fought back from the brink, and he is now awake and beginning the long road to recovery.

In a moving interview in Tuesday’s edition of The Star, his daughter talks about their relief at her family’s prayers being answered and what the future holds for her father - as well as how his love of Sheffield Wednesday is still as strong as ever.
