Thousands of runners will be taking to the streets around Meadowhall tomorrow for Sheffield’s annual Race For Life event – with road closures and special parking arrangements put in place throughout the event.
The race, held in aid of Cancer Research UK, starts at 9.30am, and Meadowhall Way will be closed from 8.30am to 1pm. Up until 8am, parking is available in the pink, lower red and lower yellow car parks. After 8am parking is restricted to just the pink car park.
Bus services A1 and 17, to and from Rotherham and Hillsborough, will be diverted to the interchange on Meadowhall Road, using the motorway viaduct on all journeys during road closure times.
Fundraisers heading for Meadowhall can also get a head start tomorrow with three extra early morning trams.
Trams will start from Halfway at 7.18am – 30 minutes earlier than normal – with a later service leaving at 7.30am from Middlewood.
