STROKE patients at Doncaster Royal Infirmary are set to benefit thanks to two women at a dancing group.
During one of their afternoon dances, the Christ Church Dancers group presented a £1,400 donation to hospital staff.
Malinda Lygo chose the Stroke Unit as her father, two uncles and some of the dancers have died as a result of a stroke.
It was through the ballroom and sequence dances and rock‘n’roll nights that £1,100 was raised.
A further £300 was raised by dancer Pauline Danson, who celebrated her 80th birthday at the club, and asked for donations in lieu of presents. She chose the unit as her late husband had been a patient on the ward.
