A TEENAGER with cerebral palsy has had one of his wishes granted by being able to feed the fish in his garden pond by hand.
Daniel Woodhead, from Bolton-on-Dearne, Rotherham, loves touching water and watching his dad feed the fish in their pond. But because the 16-year-old is confined to a wheelchair he had never been able to do it himself.
Now the Starlight Children’s Foundation has arranged, with the help of Dobbies Garden World in Chesterfield, for the pond to be lowered – granting Daniel’s wish to feed his fish by hand. The team also added new water features to make the pond extra special.
Daniel’s mum Gill said: “The pond is just brilliant and Dan is out there every day with his fish.”
