Confidence in NHS plummets

FORMER Shadow Health Secretary John Healey has called on the Government to change the way it is running the NHS, after a survey revealed the biggest drop in patient satisfaction in almost 30 years.

The annual British Social Attitudes survey show public satisfaction has fallen from 70 per cent last year to 53 per cent this year - the biggest drop since the survey started in 1983.

Mr Healey, Wentworth and Dearne MP, said: “The lessons from this are clear - people want to see their NHS properly protected and David Cameron has to change course to stop it sinking further into chaos.”
