A GROUP of friends will be using pedal power to help them raise cash for a cause close to their hearts as they take on a coast-to-coast challenge.
The six men will be riding 153 miles from Seascale on the west coast to Scarborough on the east coast in aid of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
Steven Fox, Jason Duffield, Paul Wilson, Tom Cunningham, Paul Deeks and Steven Howe will be taking on the adventure over two days on June 3 and 4.
They wanted to do something to say thank you for the care their loved ones have received at the hospital.
Steven’s father Arthur Fox was treated there for bowel cancer five years ago. Paul’s dad Richard was also a patient there before he died last year.
Steven, aged 34, and from Norton, said: “We are hoping to raise at least £1,000 for this amazing charity and the wonderful work they do at the hospital.
“And we’re really looking forward to the challenge.”
