THREE teenagers are hitting the road on a coast-to-coast adventure to raise cash for an air ambulance and hospital which has helped them.
Josh Hadfield, aged 15, Peter Jenkins and Bryn Moorhouse, both 16, will be cycling 150 miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland over three days.
The three friends will be raising money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and Sheffield Children’s Hospital after Bryn was involved in a car accident and had to be airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
The Sheffield College student suffered a broken leg, arm and collar bone and a moderate head injury in the smash outside Hope Valley College.
Josh and Peter, who have just finished their GCSEs and are hoping to move on to Lady Manners School in Bakewell to study music, have also been treated at the hospital and wanted to do something to say thank you for the care they have received.
Josh said: “We all believe that these are really good charities to support as they have both done something really fantastic for us as well as many other people.”
