YOU could call it a chain letter… made up entirely of messages of love and support for St Luke’s Hospice!
The hospice asked supporters not only to make a Christmas donation but also to contribute to a giant festive paper chain with a personal message.
And hundreds responded – with enough links to decorate the reception area of the hospice in Little Common Lane and raise more than £16,500.
“We were overwhelmed by the response,” said the hospice’s regular giving development manager Melanie Crossley.
“Every donation makes an enormous difference to our patients at this time of the year.”
