THE Co-operative Pharmacy has opened up its new shop at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
A seven-year contract was awarded to The Co-operative Pharmacy last August after competitive tendering.
The contract was awarded based on medicines expenditure of £4.2m and 52,000 items dispensed each year. Expected savings to the Trust are in the region of £200,000 a year.
Chris Scholey, chairman of the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with The Co-operative Pharmacy in this joint venture to provide a high-quality outpatient dispensing service for our patients.”
