A mental health charity will celebrate the anniversary of its Sheffield allotments with a special event.
Staff and volunteers at Sage Greenfingers have transformed the allotments since moving to the site in Grimesthorpe in 2004.
David Blunkett, Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough MP, will visit the site on Tuesday, August 19 to tour the facilities. There will be workshops including weaving fish from willow twigs.
Diana Tottle, charity director, said: “Over the last 10 years, we have created an oasis in the heart of Burngreave where people can switch off from their troubles by getting stuck into gardening and art activities.
“This open day is one of several events we are holding to celebrate our 10th anniversary.”
