The Doncaster-based Jigsaw Centre advice information and counselling centre for young people is set to celebrate its 20th birthday.
Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton will join staff and service users at the organisation’s base on Netherhall Road to mark the milestone on Friday.
Jigsaw, run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, provides free confidential advice, information and counselling on any issue that affects young people’s health and well being.
The centre is open to all young people aged 15 to 25 and its outreach services work with young people aged 13 to 19 in a variety of settings in partnership with other agencies.
Fiona Feris, deputy manager, said: “For many young people, Jigsaw is often their starting point in seeking help and advice on a wide and diverse variety of health and wellbeing issues. For 20 years now, Jigsaw has worked with many thousands of young people and numerous partner agencies.
“We’re happy to mark this anniversary with staff and service users past and present. We are celebrating the past while looking forward to the future.”
