A CARDIAC Olympics event held at a Sheffield sports centre has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

The event, at Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen, aimed to increase awareness of heart disease and promote exercise for those over the age of 50.

It was held in aid of the British Heart Foundation, and some of the money raised will go towards Sheffield community groups including Concord Heart Support Group and Sheffield Cardiac Society.
