CANCER patients and their families can pick up information and advice from a visiting team of specialists.
The Macmillan Cancer Support Mobile Information Centre will tour South Yorkshire and invite anyone with concerns on board their bus.
The visits coincide with Prostate and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Months which run throughout March.
Helen Tuvey, lead information and support specialist, said: “March highlights two common cancers in the UK.
“There’s no harm in finding out more - the centre has a wide range of information on these and all other cancers.
“If you have any concern sabout cancer, do come and see us. You don’t need an appointment and you can talk to one of the Macmillan specialists face-to-face. It’s free and completely confidential.”
The unit will be at the Working Men’s Club in Chapeltown market place tomorrow from 8.30am to 3pm, in Cheapside Road, Barnsley, on Wednesday 10am to 4pm, and at Rotherham Parkgate shopping centre on Thursday and Friday from 10am to 4pm.
