AN AFTERNOON of talks, films and discussions about alternative cancer treatments is taking place next Wednesday in Chesterfield.

The event is happening at St Leonard’s Hall on Valley Road in Spital from 1pm.

Topics set to be covered include the nature of the disease and the work of cancer expert Dr Otto Warburg.

He received the Nobel prize in 1931 for discovering that cancer cells do not breathe oxygen.

Visitors can also find out about special ‘oxygenating’ diets for patients.

A 40-minute film will also be shown called Healing Cancer From Within, which covers alternatives to conventional therapies.
