Cancer survivors and carers in Doncaster are being asked to help shape support in the area for people living with and beyond cancer.
Doncaster Cancer Survivorship, a partnership between Doncaster health and social services, Doncaster Council, Macmillan Cancer Support and other voluntary organisations, is running a Doncaster Cancer Survivorship event on Thursday August 1 at Doncaster Racecourse, from 12 until 4pm.
The group aims to improve support for cancer survivors and help them return to a normal, healthy life after treatment.
Councillor Pat Knight, council cabinet member for health, said: “Doncaster Council is working with its partners to help people affected by cancer and it is important that people get involved with this work. Anyone affected by cancer in the Doncaster area is invited to attend and share their ideas and suggestions to help improve support for cancer survivors and find better ways of living with and beyond cancer.”
Anyone who wants to attend or to help with Doncaster Cancer Survivorship can contact email@example.com or ring 07989 193 339.
