THE pros and cons of breast cancer screening will be discussed at a free event in Sheffield.
The city’s Cancer Research Centre is hosting a lecture in Firth Hall, at Sheffield University, next Thursday at 7.30pm.
Top researcher Prof David Cameron, from Edinburgh University, will be leading the talk, organised to debate the effectiveness of the NHS breast cancer screening programme.
Between March 2011 and April 2012, 80 per cent of eligible women in Sheffield were screened, with 159 people being diagnosed with the disease.
All women aged between 50 and 70 are sent invitations to be tested.
To book a place at the talk, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0114 2713516.
