Shoppers in Sheffield are getting the chance to board a special bus to take tea in aid of a city cancer charity.
The ‘brew bus’ is pulling into Barker’s Pool on Saturday, serving cups of tea and slices of cake as part of transport firm Stagecoach’s sponsorship of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity’s Time For Tea campaign.
The company’s buses will be decked out with posters throughout this month, encouraging passengers to host tea parties for the appeal to support cancer patients and their families.
A free prize draw will also be running, offering tickets to see Chris Rea at Sheffield City Hall, a family ticket for Disney on Ice at the Motorpoint Arena and passes for gigs at the O2 Academy.
Other gifts up for grabs include a hamper filled with Haribo sweets and six months’ free bus travel.
The ‘brew bus’ is in Barker’s Pool from 10.30am to 3pm.
Anyone interested in holding a tea party should visit www.timeforteaparty.com or call 0114 226 5370 to register.
