New parent patients at Barnsley Hospital would recommend its maternity services to their friends and family, according to a new survey.
The first set of Friends and Family Test results for maternity services at the hospital showed that 100 per cent of patients questioned said they were ‘likely’ or ‘extremely likely’ to recommend the hospital’s antenatal and community postnatal services.
The survey is a national initiative, launched in April last year, that has been implemented in hospitals across the country.
Before patients are discharged, they are asked how likely they are to recommend wards and departments to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment.
The initiative was extended to maternity services in October last year.
