A CITY law firm organised a charity ball which netted £3,100 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Bank House Chambers, based in Hartshead, city centre, hosted the event earlier this year to raise cash for the North Anston facility.
Entertainment included live band The Bootleggers and there was a live auction and raffle with a host of prizes to raise more cash for the cause.
Prizes included a signed Manchester United football, a week’s holiday in France, a theatre package for two in Sheffield, including an overnight stay at the city’s Hilton Hotel, a round of golf for four at Rother Valley Golf Club, and four tickets to the International Show Jumping Event at the Motorpoint Arena.
All money raised will go to Bluebell Wood, the firm’s chosen charity for 2011.
