Almost £2m is to be invested in creating a new community health hub in Barnsley.

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has announced plans for improvements to the New Street health centre. More than £1.7m is to be invested in improving facilities and increasing the number of available services. A similar service is planned in Calderdale. Steven Michael OBE, trust chief executive said: “The refurbishment and building of the hubs is led by what our services need in order to achieve better outcomes for people.”
