Activity day for cancer children

Have your say

DANCERS, musicians, circus performers and sportsmen are putting on a show to celebrate healthy lifestyles with young people who have had cancer.

Around 150 youngsters treated at Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s oncology and haematology departments over the last 10 years will be getting together at the English Institute of Sport for the special Do It For You event on October 27.

Among the 30 local groups performing will be Greentop Circus, Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Club, Barnsley Archery Club and the Ceilidh Society.

Anyone under the age of 25 who has previously undergone treatment for cancer at the children’s hospital, but hasn’t been sent an invite to the event, should email for an invitation.
