Have say on local plan

Have your say

RESIDENTS of North Derbyshire are being urged to speak out on the future development of the district.

People living in the north east of the county can have their say on how many new homes should be built and the way that land is allocated.

The public consultation, which launches next month, focuses on the early development of North East Derbyshire District Council’s local plan.

Comments about overall development issues and aims are being invited. The method by which the council will allocate housing and employment land - which could include areas of existing Green Belt - will also be up for discussion.

Coun Harold Laws, member with responsibility for planning, said: “It’s important that people get involved and have their say as it will ultimately affect communities across the district.”
