Hard-hitting roadshow

SOUTH Yorkshire college students have been taught the harsh reality of dangerous driving after meeting a teenage girl left disabled after she was struck by a motorbike.

The girl, who slipped into a coma after the accident and was given just one hour to live, met students from Doncaster College and Doncaster Deaf College to recall her ordeal.

She was joined by a man whose teenage son was left brain damaged after the car he was a passenger in crashed into another – killing his friend, who was driving.

The hard-hitting RTC Roadshow, organised by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, will be touring other colleges and sixth forms across the county.
