A MAN who was shortlisted in the final of a very cheesy competition has failed to become the big cheese.
Don Edwards, from Bradwell, won a place in the final of the British Cheese Board’s nationwide hunt to find a national anthem for Britain’s best loved cheese, Cheddar.
He competed against an accordion-wielding Morris dancer, a rousing pub singer and an upbeat techno rendition of God Save our Cheese.
Unfortunately after a public vote it was hard cheese for Don who finished as runner- up.
