Happy Hollie arrived at a Sheffield charity sad and scared – but has now built up her confidence and is ready to find a new home.
Staff at RSPCA Sheffield in Attercliffe said the three-year-old cream lurcher’s name is associated with good companionship, intelligence and loyalty, all of which she has a lot to give.
Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield’s animal care manager, said: “Hollie is ready to make a fresh start and lead the loving life she should always have had.
“Hollie would be fine for first-time dog owners, or those looking for a dog who just needs a little bit of training or continued confidence building in certain areas.
“She is a fabulous girl who adores people – she is very bouncy and lively and she loves to play with her toys, especially her tennis ball.
“There is something particularly appealing about Hollie who seems to spread happiness wherever she goes.
“Hollie loves the company of humans and would prefer not be left for long periods of time.
“The lurcher is a popular breed so we are hoping it won’t take long to make that perfect match where she can settle down in a permanent place, show off her sweet personality and prove what a great pet she is.”
