Have your say

Unfortunately due to lack of interest we have had to change the planned trip to Lincoln on November 6.

Instead, on the same date, we will be going to the Newark Civil War Centre which has only recently opened.

This will perfectly complement the English Civil War course that some of you have been doing.

The cost is £25 plus the cost of admission (£7 at present with a 50 per cent discount for English Heritage members).

Pick-ups will be in Rotherham at the Unity Centre, Sheffield at the Old Queens Head and Chesterfield at the Town Hall.

All pick-ups will be between 9-10am and we can let you know more exact details when we have gauged responses.

If you are interested in going on this trip please let us know ASAP.

We will also be holding another all-day series of lectures on Saturday, December 5 looking at the Battle of Bouvins, Cromwell’s Christmas and the Battle of Marignano.

The cost for this will be £20 per ticket and includes mince pie, mulled wine and a buffet.

The venue is the Polish Catholic Centre on Ecclesall Road, and the lectures will run from 10.30am0-4pm.

If you are interested and would like to buy a ticket, please let us know.

We are also in the process of organising a trip to Paris for around next Easter! We should be able to let you know the full details in the next couple of Newsletters.

Lloyd is also potentially going to be running an Egyptology course after Christmas in Chesterfield on Wednesday afternoons. Please contact us if you are interested.

Pete
