A hair stylist has gone back to her roots by relocating to the college where she learned scissor skills.
Lydia Garner, aged 19, studied Level 2 and Level 3 National Vocational Qualifications in hairdressing at Barnsley College between 2010 and 2012 before becoming self-employed.
Now she is operating the business from the Images salon in the college’s Old Mill Lane campus.
Lydia said: “I jumped at the chance to move my business to Images as my time at Barnsley College gave me the skills that enabled me to set up on my own.
“The facilities are excellent and it was great for me to be taught by highly experienced staff. I am now looking forward to developing my business and would love the chance to teach and assess at the college.”
