FAMILY grocery business Taylor’s of Tickhill has donated £300 to a group of volunteers who provide colourful floral displays and care for planted areas within the community.

The £300 donation to Tickhill in Bloom has been used to contribute to the cost of the town’s impressive summer flower display.

Taylor’s, established in 1946, has been raising money for the local community through the sale of specific products in its Market Place shop.

It has been able to donate the money raised with the help of the charity Making a Difference – Locally.

Chris Taylor said: “We chose to donate to the Tickhill in Bloom group because it is a cause that relies upon volunteer work and fundraising in order to look after the planted areas of the town.

“These benefit everyone, townsfolk and visitors alike, and the year round colour that they provide makes to town an even more pleasant place to live and to work.”
