Children and parents will be encouraged to bike to school for their breakfast to promote environmentally-friendly travel.
From 8.30am on Wednesday, children and parents at Anston Greenlands Junior and Infant School who arrive by bike will be rewarded with a healthy bike breakfast.
They will be entered into a prize draw, and their bikes will receive a free ‘health check’ and service from Dr Bike, all organised by charity Sustrans.
Sustrans is working with schools in Rotherham to provide children with the skills and information necessary to allow them to take to two wheels for the journey to school on a regular basis.
Natalie Whelan from Sustrans, said: “Walking and cycling to school are great ways for children to keep healthy.”
