Green-fingered tenants have been awarded prizes for keeping their gardens blooming.
Sheffield Council’s Green Fingers contest recognised 20 people across the area who go the extra mile in maintaining their green oasis.
They won vouchers worth £50 or £25 and were presented with prizes at Sheffield Town Hall.
Carol Castledene, a resident at Ernest Copley House, a sheltered housing complex on Peckham Road, High Green, won first prize in the sheltered housing category.
She said: “I’m accepting this award on behalf of all of the residents of Ernest Copley who have worked so hard to make the garden look lovely.”
The council’s housing service organises the annual contest to reward residents’ hard work.
