Community groups in Chesterfield are being urged to apply for grants from a £40,000 community chest.
The new scheme has been set up to allow local groups to apply for funding that will improve the quality of life for residents.
Councillor Sharon Blank, Chesterfield Borough Council’s executive member for customers and communities, said: “Our community assemblies have helped to set key local priorities to improve life in their area. The community chest funding will fund key projects that respond to these priorities and support a range of community activity”
Applications should be submitted by April 4, with decisions made the following month.
